- Small Group Ministry | UUSE
Small group ministries are what keep people connected at UUSE. Small Group Ministry Small Group Ministry is a network of small groups (maximum size 8-10) whose main objective is to create an open and safe environment for mutual ministry and spiritual growth. Groups meet monthly, have a regular format, develop a covenant, and explore mutually agreed to topics that promote UU principles and spiritual development. They are an opportunity to explore meaningful topics such as trust, compassion, good and evil, or mindful living. Contact Reverend Josh for details.

My Friend Kim is a powerful 30-minute documentary that follows Kim Hoffman, a Connecticut woman living with terminal illness, as she advocates for compassion, autonomy, and the right to the option of Medical Aid in Dying. The film highlights Kim's strength, clarity, and determination, as well as the unwavering support of her wife, Joy Cipollo. The documentary is an official selection of the Silicon Valley Queer Film Festival. The film maker has created an Eventbrite page so people can sign up to attend. Are you interested in becoming more involved with UUSE's participation in the Greater Hartford Interfaith Action Alliance? If so, GHIAA has just announced its Spring 2025 Leadership Training. They invite all interested UUSE members and friends to join them for a workshop on the fundamentals of faith-based organizing, the tools of relational culture, techniques for building and wielding power, and the process for identifying issues and developing campaigns. There are two options for training this spring (each series will cover the same content): • Wednesdays, 1:00 - 3:00 P.M., via Zoom, May 7, 14, 21, 28 • Tuesdays, 6:00 - 8:00 P.M., in person (location being confirmed in Hartford), June 3, 10, 17, 24 Registration is online.
