- Letter to UUSE from UUA About the 7 PrinciplesIn Denominational Affairs·November 17, 2024Please see the letter below that we received from a UUA representative. This letter was forwarded to the Policy Board by Peggy Webbe and I am posting it here for the benefit of the entire congregation. Dear Members of UUSE, I’m Erica Baron, your primary contact from the New England Region of the UUA. In a recent conversation with Josh Pawelek, minister, and Peggy Webbe, president, they asked if the UUA supports congregations who wish to continue using the Principles in congregations in various ways. As your regional contact, yes! I fully support your congregation in making your own decisions about how you want to be in relationship with the Principles going forward. There are around 40 years’ worth of resources based on the 7 Principles created by Unitarian Universalists at all levels – UUA staff, ministers and DREs, lay leaders, congregations, everyone! You are welcome to continue to use any of those resources that you find valuable, including any resources you have created for your own congregation. The change at the national level in no way mandates that you cease reference to the Principles or using them in your own congregational life and practice. You may use the Principles, the Principles and the new Values, or just the new Values, whatever path you discern is most aligned with your congregation’s will and needs. - Leadership Ministry Network Gathering (UUA)In Denominational AffairsJune 19, 2025"Finally, a Site That Actually Delivers — Bedpage Was the Real Deal." I didn’t need anything fancy — just a simple, safe way to connect with someone real. Bedpage turned out to be exactly that. The interface was clean and easy to use. I selected my location, scrolled through a few listings, and one stood out for how honest and straightforward it sounded. No fake energy, no nonsense. I sent her a message, and within five minutes, I had a response. She was respectful, direct, and everything was clear. We scheduled with zero hassle. She arrived exactly when she said she would. Everything felt comfortable and smooth — no pressure, no weirdness, just a calm and professional experience. Bedpage didn’t overpromise — it just worked. That’s rare these days, and it’s why I keep coming back.0
