Call to Annual Meeting - 2025

Dear UUSE Voting Members:

UUSE’s 2025 Annual Meeting will take place on Sunday, May 18th, following the 11:00 am service, with an option to join by Zoom using the Sunday Service link. Our Constitution requires a quorum of voting members to be present to vote on business items. Please plan to attend either in person or on Zoom to help us accomplish this important Society business! The Policy Board is organizing a salad potluck for those joining in-person. Please bring a salad to share!

The agenda for the Annual Meeting will include:    

1) Approval of the 2025-2026 UUSE budget.

2) Approval of the 2025-2026 slate of officers and leaders (included in this mailing);       

3) Expressions of gratitude to outgoing leaders;

4) Expressions of gratitude to donors of gifts;         

5) Approval of two amendments to Article XII to the UUSE Constitution:

A)  Change the first sentence of Article XII, Section 1 to read: "The duties of the minister include those usually associated with the office of a parish minister." 

B)  Change the third sentence of Article XII, Section 2 to read: In its search for a new minister, the Search Committee will include, but not be limited to, ministers in fellowship with the UUA....

Voting Options:

There are four ways you may vote at the Annual Meeting: A) in person at UUSE; B) by mail/email absentee voting form; C) by proxy; and D) by Zoom vote during the meeting.

Mail/Email Voting Form: If you are unable to be present for the meeting but wish to vote absentee, please use the form here. Return a hard copy to the UUSE office at 153 West Vernon St., Manchester, CT 06042, or email or scan a photo to uuseoffice@uuse.org by Friday, May, 17th at noon.

Proxy Form: If you would like to vote by proxy, please print and fill out the proxy designation form here. Be sure to advise your proxy of your wishes in advance of the meeting. Your proxy can bring the completed form with them to the annual meeting, or you can send the completed proxy form to the UUSE office by Friday, May 16th at noon.
