27th Annual Transgender Day of Remembrance

This year, the Metropolitan Community Church of Hartford at 155 Wyllys Street in Hartford is hosting the Transgender Day of Remembrance, a day that serves to raise public awareness of the hate crimes against transgender people and the suicidality that such hate can incite. MCC Hartford is also commemorating the 5th anniversary of TV-365 (Trans Voice and Visibility 365 days a year). The theme for this year's event is "Courage and Strength to Be" and will feature a candlelight vigil, speakers, music and a reception.
