UUS:E in Autumn

Welcome Visitors, Members and Friends!

We welcome guests and new members to our liberal religious community. We view UUS:East as a place of continuing quest for religious values and their meaningful expression in traditional and contemporary forms of worship, and in various religious education programs.

UUS:East, formed in 1969, is a vibrant congregation with a current membership of about 300. Our Meetinghouse is nestled in the woods of Manchester near the Vernon town line. Many of our congregants come from other religious traditions, such as Catholicism, Judaism, and Protestant denominations; some are Buddhists, Pagans, theists, and atheists.

Our mission statement:
Unitarian Universalist Society:East is a welcoming, liberal religious community. Through shared ministry, we care for one another and nurture the search for truth and meaning as part of lifelong spiritual growth. We are committed to living our Unitarian Universalist Principles in our daily lives, including working for justice and peace, and living in harmony with the earth.

Visitors and Newcomers

Welcome – We hope we had a chance to greet you when you first visited. Of course, there’s no obligation to introduce yourself during Time for Sharing, but we’d love to talk with you any time. Please stop by the Welcome Table to speak with the person there, who will be happy to answer any questions.
There are two welcome tables: Before the service, visit the one in the foyer facing the main entrance; after the service, visit the one inside the sanctuary, near the double doors that lead to the foyer.

Name tags – free and helpful!

Just ask the welcome table representative or phone the church office 646-5151 between 8 a.m. and 3 p.m., to speak with Annie Gentile, the administrative assistant. Name tags are kept in general alphabetical order in the wooden racks under the windows at the back of the foyer.
